RECKONER CORE

“Core” is the application, which controls the processes governing the other Reckoner Modules. It has a very powerful System Administration function which is used on configuring the precise definitions of the enterprise.
Reckoner depends on Core for its overall functionality. An Enterprise can define the Structure of its companies with their respective branches or units. Reckoner Core further defines the Organisational Structure of the company, i.e. Users, their designations and the existing hierarchy and authorities. It defines the accessibility to all the designations for various system functions. Reckoner Core dynamically interfaces with the entire Reckoner application. Additional attributes for any document can be defined here.

Alerts can be set in the system to monitor exception activities or events which prompt reminder mails. This functionality has been designed on Management by exception principles.

Reckoner’s inbuilt Mail system is a powerful feature of Reckoner. Through the Reckoner Mail System, users can send and receive messages.

The Reckoner ERP system is completely online and workflow enabled, where you can define hierarchy levels varying from Middle level to Operating staff. All the documents saved in the system can be authorised or signed by authorised personnel. System also provides a provision for a person at higher designations to perform all functions
  authorised to lower designations in his or her department. Reckoner has been designed to map physical processes of an organisation onto the system.

Reckoner Core provides tools for definitions of business processes (documents) and information objects (entities) of any organisation in order to allow extended definitions and fulfil specific requirements of the companies during implementation.

Reckoner Core has standard templates for various functions for the development and enhancements of other modules during implementation. Reckoner Core provides functionality towards three-tier architecture of Reckoner application and its effective maintenance. It has office automation tools for communication such as Reckoner Mail, Spreadsheet, calculator, clock and calendar.

Reckoner System Definition allows you to define Documents, Entities, Query Registration, Year, and Serial No. Through Query Registration you can save your Queries and execute them any time. You can even take a print out of the desired result and also mail it through Reckoner Mail.You can save the Report in Acrobat, Excel, Text format etc. Reckoner Core provides various utilities for database management;
  Search utility can be used for searching entities like Supplier, Item, Accounts, Product etc. Through Set currency you can set the rate of foreign currency; Menu can be customised for each user.

Users' access rights can be modified on-line through an easy interface called the Grant/ Revoke function. Authority of a designation can be modified to affect all users attached to it, and groups of users can be moved across departments or designations. Apart from this, the main menu can also be customised for different users, which means that the System Administrator can decide what options will be visible to a particular user.

Documents and Reports can be printed with or without Header and Details. Reports can be saved in Excel, Text, DBF3/4/5, HTML, CSV and other formats.

However, there is a drawback of saving the reports in these formats, that the formatting and filters that are visible while running it in the Reckoner are lost. For this purpose, an add-on application called the Reckoner Reader comes as free-ware along with Reckoner. In order to view the reports in the Reckoner format, the report can be saved in the RRF Format i.e. Reckoner Reader Format and viewed anytime later as they are visible in Reckoner.
Reckoner Core comprises of:
  • Enterprise Management: Reckoner is a genuine multi-company, multiple location, Multi-currency system, where you can define an entire enterprise complete with its units adn attributes.
  • System Administration: Allows Document Definition, Entity Definition, Serial No. Definition, Year Definition, Query Registration etc.
  • Organisation Management: Defines the organisation hierarchy. It also defines all the users and their respective positions in the hierarchy chart.
  • Alerts and Messaging: Alerts are the system-triggered events that are effected on the occurrence of any predefined event. The Mail system acts like a personal desk for the user, displaying all incoming documents in the inbox.
